Mom is doing fine, had no complications. She was absolutely amazing through the whole process.
Elias is feeding well and ripping through diapers like there's no tomorrow.

Ooooo! *misty eyes* I can’t figure out who is more beautiful - Mommy Les or Baby Elias! [Sorry Charles, you aren’t in the running in this category!] I must say that I’ve never seen a more blissful expression in my daughter’s eyes. Yes, Baby K is perfect in every way… he is exactly what we had all been praying for – a very healthy baby.
The photos are great, Chuck… and the one of you and your new son is priceless. Yes, it is obvious that Daddy is extremely pleased! And now the adventure begins! You and Leslee will begin seeing the world through fresh eyes and experiencing the simple mysteries of life anew. Each discovery that Elias makes will be yours to relish as well. Isn’t life incredible?

Aunt Lynn cannot say enough about how awesome you were through it all, Les! I knew you would be… especially with Mimi there peeking over your shoulder the whole time. You showed courage and determination throughout your labor. You made wise choices. Most of all, your deep love for your child and your husband served as an underlying current of strength that helped keep you focused and positive. Of course, you could never have pulled it off as well as you did without Chuck’s loving attention and constant support – both before and during the birthing process. And you, Charles! From the time Baby K was conceived, you have been an aware father, a deeply reflective father. You take the responsibilities of parenthood seriously. You realize that the kind of man this child will become depends, to a great extent, on the father that you are to him… today and throughout his formative years. The examples you set for young Eli and the values you teach him will be absorbed steadily, providing him with a firm foundation. They, along with the vistas of knowledge, creativity and awareness you bring before him as he grows and develops, will serve him well as he makes his way into the world. Eagerly awaiting the next batch of pictures! For some reason, I’m beginning to think I may become one of those overly enthusiastic Grandmothers who descend upon everyone with tons of baby photos and endless stories of how adorable my Grandson is when he burps, etc. Stop me if I become too obsessed…. PLEASE! But at least for the first few months, bear with me… After all, Eli IS my first, most precious and only [for the time being] Grandbaby. Oh, yeah!! We Grannies just wanna have fun!!
